Event & Activity Schedule – June 14
Father’s Day: NextSunday, June 21st we will commemorate and celebrate Father’s Day. Please invite and come with your father, husband and/or grandfather to worship and thanks God for the many blessings.
Midweek Evening Service: will be held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. The next service will be June 17, 2009 at 7:00 pm at St. Georges & Seminary Ave. Campus.
Joyful Welcome: David Roswell Lawson-Beck was ordained into the Sacred Order of Deacons, along with seven other candidates on May 16th; a number of our members attended the ordination at Trinity Cathedral in Trenton.
His position at Good Shepherd is Pastoral Associate, which means that he will collaborate with the Rector, Fr. Ros, in liturgical worship, as well as, assist in the pastoral programming of the parish. Bon Venue.
Acolytes Needed: Acolytes of all ages needed. Children (10 -12 yrs. Old), Teenagers ( 13 to 19), Young Adults (20 – 35 ), Middle Age (36 – 54 ), Seniors (55 and up). Please help us with this part of our ministry.
Parish Photos: If you were unable to have your photo taken during the Christmas luncheon, don’t worry; we will be taking photos of parishioners at another time.
Flowers or Candles:If you would like flowers or candles on the altar in memory, anniversary, birthday, etc. Please contact Angela Gervasi 732-855-0087 Candles are available on the following Sundays 6/14, 6/21, 6/28, 7/5, 7/12, 7/19, 7/26 for $ 10.00. Flowers are available on following Sundays 7/19, 7/26 for $30.00
Coffee Hour:Donations for coffee hour are needed. See Gloria Beck, if you wish to sponsor a coffee hour. Sign up sheet in the Guild Room.
Rummage Sale Clothing Needed:Clothes needed for our monthly rummage sale. It’s time to go thru your closets and bring your clothes to porch of the parish house at 739 Seminary Avenue (big brown house)
Food Certificates:Purchase Pathmark, Shoprite, A & P certificates from Jerry Thorn. The church receives 5%. This could be a great fund raiser if a lot more church members participate.
